FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance should I order? As everything is freshly made to order, we recommend ordering as early as you can. As a guide:
- Cakes: please allow at least 3–5 days' notice.
- Macaron towers & larger celebration pieces: please allow at least 7 days' notice.
- Peak periods (Christmas, Mother's Day, Valentine's, Easter): these book up quickly — we recommend ordering 2–3 weeks ahead. We'll always do our best to accommodate last-minute requests, so do get in touch.
Do you deliver, and where? We offer local delivery and collection around the Gower and Swansea area. At checkout, use our delivery date picker to choose your preferred date and slot, and we'll take care of the rest. If your address is outside our usual area, please message us before ordering and we'll see what we can do.
How does collection work? Choose the collection option and your preferred date at checkout. We'll be in touch to confirm your collection time and location.
Do you cater for allergies and dietary requirements? Our patisserie is made in a kitchen that handles nuts, gluten, dairy, eggs, and other allergens, so we're unable to guarantee any item is completely free from traces. We do offer gluten-free options — please check the product description or contact us before ordering so we can advise. If you have a specific allergy, please get in touch and we'll help you choose safely.
How should I store my order, and how long will it keep? Our patisserie is fresh and made without preservatives, so it's best enjoyed as soon as possible:
- Pavlova: best enjoyed within 2 days.
- Cakes and most items: best within 2–3 days, kept refrigerated.
- Tarts: 3-5 days, depending on the fillings.
- Macarons: 3-4 days with fruity fillings, 5-6 days with chocolate ganache. Can be frozen on the day of purchase to enjoy later (always thaw in the fridge overnight).
-
Madeleines and Financiers: in an airtight container for 2-3 days and 4-5 days respectively.
- Éclairs and filled choux buns: best enjoyed on the day of delivery or collection. If needed, store in the fridge and consume within 24 hours. The pastry will soften over time, so the sooner the better!
Always store in a cool place or the fridge, and bring to room temperature shortly before serving for the best flavour.
What is your cancellation and refund policy? Because our products are freshly made to order and perishable, they are prepared especially for you and cannot be resold. For this reason, orders cannot be cancelled or refunded once production has begun. If you need to make a change, please contact us as soon as possible and we'll do everything we can to help before we start preparing your items.
Standard items (madeleines/financiers, plain brownies, cookies): please cancel at least 24 hours before your delivery or collection date. Gâteau/Cakes, tarts, eclairs/choux, macaron towers, and celebration pieces: please cancel at least 72 hours (3 days) before your date, as these items require several days of preparation.
How do I pay, and how will you contact me? Payment is taken securely in full at checkout. After ordering, we'll contact you by email to confirm your order details, delivery or collection date, and any special requests. Please keep an eye on your inbox so we can finalise everything smoothly.
